Who we are

Remcash Company Limited is a Payment Services Provider licensed by the Bank of Ghana. We are part of Arch Services and the Quantum Group of companies.

Personal Data we collect:

For the purposes of facilitating the transfer you make through our system, Remcash is mandated by law to collect the following information about you depending on the kind of service you have with us:

•  your name
•  your phone number or your bank account number
•  your email address
•  records of transactions such as account balances, transaction amount, transaction history etc
•  your identity documentation such as passport or other national identification
•  your location address

We will not use your data for purposes other than processing payment requests made by/for you.

When Remcash Collects Personal Information:

We collect personal information that are required for us to offer you the envisaged services, when we are required to do so by law and as part of compliance programs, in particular those related to anti-money laundering and preventing criminal and fraudulent activity.

We collect personal data when you:

•  send or receive money, complete a payment or use or request any of our other products or services;
•  submit personal information to us through our partners on applications, forms and by other means;
•  use or visit our online website (for example, to complete a transaction, manage your accounts, or provide your choices);
•  enter a promotion, register for email alerts or marketing communications, or join a loyalty program
•  use our mobile application

• Directly from you: Unless impracticable to do so, we endeavor to collect directly from you. We may contact you through our website, by social media, telephone, through letters and emails, or in person.
• Indirectly: We may also collect personal information about you if your data is contained in a public record, you have deliberately made the data public and have consented to the collection of the information from another source.

These measures include but are not limited to: physical and electronic safeguards. All Personal Data is kept in a secure location protected by firewalls and other sophisticated security mechanisms with limited access. Only our selected employees, agents and representatives with a need to process data, are allowed access.
We aim to achieve the highest standard of data protection by adopting industry-standard measures to protect your privacy, however your data may still be intercepted by third parties outside the control of our systems.

As part of regulatory requirement we are required to collect and process personal data as part of on-boarding processes.

How we market to our customers:

Subject to your consent and preferences in our application, we will notify you of offers, promotions, and updates regarding our products and Services. These may include offers by email, telephone, postal mail, SMS, social media, and other communication or digital channels.
You can opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time. If you no longer want to receive marketing-related communications from us, you may opt out by following the instructions in the relevant electronic communication or by contacting us as described in the “CONTACTING US” section.
Please note that if you opt out of receiving marketing-related communications from us, we may still send you important service, administrative, or transaction-related communications.

Retention of personal information:

Your personal data is retained no longer than the stated regulatory requirements such as found in the data protection laws of Ghana, Anti-money laundering, anti-terrorist financing and other laws that applies to us.

Accessing, deleting and correcting your personal information and changing your choices:
You have a right at a fee to request for a detailed description of your personal data as well as correction of your personal data. This is subject to verifying your identity to ensure security of your data. If you use our applications and have an account with us, you may log in at any time, update and delete your information.
Upon verification of the requester, request is responded to within 40days.
